Billboards - More Than Just Advertising

Welcome back everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day this past week. Speaking of that I have posted the results of the Valentine's Day poll below. Also check out my Viko off to the side (he used to say something different, but I had to change it). Anywho today I want to focus on "Social Responsibility." This is when you do, say, or display something that's offputting to the people around you. For example sagging or better yet sagging only to show the multiple pairs of draws you have on that day. However I'm not going to sit here and talk about ALL the issues with people and social responsibility (trust me I would literally rant for hours on end). Instead I think it's big corporations that should be held at fault for their lack of social responsibility. My cousins and I traveled the states last Summer and of course took MANY MANY photos of the local "attractions", if you know what I mean :). So one day we were crossing through Tennessee, strictly passing through with NO intentions of staying (to scared), and at one of the gas stations we happened to cross a billboard that went a little like this.....
My oldest cousin, being Islamic himself, went crazy about the sign, but due to the fact that we were five colored males in Tennessee, we shut our mouths. Even though such billboards may or may not have been intended to offend, this one surely went off the deep end. Nevertheless, these signs didn't stop there. They were almost everywhere and about varying nationalities; no one was spared.
One thing about these corporations is that instead of uniting minorities, they would prefer to poke funny at them through their one-sided stereotypes. The only problem? The fact that we allow such things to happen right before our eyes. This only results in other disunity between us and our brethren whether black, brown, yellow, orange, red, etc. Well it’s time to stop acting like children at the playground and learn to love on another. We are one family, one country, one people. Thnx for reading and remember speak your mind, live you life, and do you.

Welcome to My World

Hey there my name is Abiel, a usually reserved, laid-back (sometimes ijdgaf), carefree kind of person with some interesting and more often than not random thoughts. These thoughts usually come to me for the same reason I go out and do stupid $H!}: BOREDOM. But once every now and then REALLY outrageous things seem to happen to me like I'm a character in a fiction book; that's why a friend of mine -Victor (but I call him Chocolate Bear)- told me I needed to blog about anything that comes to me whenever. I decided to do this and thus the birth of Abielology (patent pending lol). This certain field, if you will, deals with randomly weird and funny thoughts that constantly flow in and out of my head (I usually jot them down to share later) along with outlandish occurrences that seem to ONLY happen to me and the manner in which I analyze them, but in the end has a MUCH larger meaning than it may have seemed at first what with the "bigger picture" ideals my stories will teach or at least try to teach the general public. I'll do the undoable and think the unthinkable so you can read all about and maybe even share some laughs with your friends about the insane things that happen to me. Basically, this blog will be about any and all thoughts that come to me whenever I'm not doing anything and the mounds upon mounds of misadventures that I carry out with my pals. So there you go, the first of many entries into my mind. I hope you'll enjoy but if you don't I'll gladly show you the nearest door...just playing. Thnx for reading and remember speak your mind, live you life, and do you.
